HIGH SCHOOL

Grades 9-12 are very important in the overall educational, spiritual, and social development of our students.  They are maturing, focusing on what lies ahead, and seeking what God’s will is in each of their lives.  It is pertinent that prayer be the basis of each of these avenues of our students’ lives - prayers of the teachers, the parents, and of the students themselves.  Our desire is for each student to recognize and work within the parameters of a Christian world and life view.

Professional Christian teachers direct, challenge, and encourage our students as they develop their skills.  The high school schedule covers seven 51-minute periods which include Bible, English, science, history, mathematics, physical education, foreign language, and computer.  Various other electives are available as well.  Students may decide what educational track they will need to further their future goals after graduating.  WECS offers a regular track which requires the completion of 22 credit hours for graduation or students may qualify for the honors tract which requires 24 credit hours for graduation

There are opportunities for our high school students to serve in and around WECS; be involved in athletic programs that include soccer, basketball, volleyball, and softball; participate in a band program; and even serve in leadership within each class.  Service, leadership, character, spiritual depth, and education are all aspects of what is taught, developed, anticipated, and appreciated here at the WECS High School.
