Our K-5 students have a full day of learning, character development and fun filled-activities. Weekly Bible lessons and chapel provide opportunities for spiritual development and instilling Christ-centered family and life values.
The Language Arts is grounded in the A Beka Book Curriculum. It is a phonics-based program with letters, sounds and beginning reading skills. Saxon Math is used as a manipulative-based curriculum to build strong math concepts.
Many classes in the elementary participate in the Accelerated Reader Program to promote the love of reading and classroom success. Students participate on an individual basis at their own personal reading level.
The elementary has participated in several ACSI competitions including speech meet, creative writing and spelling bees. Each year fourth and fifth grade students are involved in the safety patrol program for our school.
Classes take several field trips related to their subject matter each year. Some classes involve themselves in local community activities such as Christmas caroling or visiting a nursing home.
The elementary academic program includes the following subjects: Bible, math, science, social studies, language arts, handwriting, spelling, library, science, physical education, health and music.
We use a combination of Saxon Math, Bob Jones Press, A Beka Book and ACSI Publishers for our curriculum and instructional resources.
