We struggled with our shooting touch playing at Spirit’s gymnasium, as they won 51-36. Playing without Josh Wiley made it even more difficult. Nic scored 18 points to lead the way. We then took on a quick, sharp shooting Elijah House Academy team for the first time ever but came away with a 53-38 win. Nic was a “beast” underneath, as he powered in 28 points. We lost the lead in the last minute against Banner Christian to lose 38-36 on a Tyler Piper 15 footer with 0.7 seconds remaining. Playing without an injured Alex Bridger, only three players scored, led by Nic with 16 points, Cody was hot with 14 points and Josh added 6. The Junior Crusaders’ record stands at [5-4].

The Junior Crusaders blasted Salem Christian 48-19 behind 23 points from Nic Sulc, then dropped a disappointing 47-46 loss to Victory Christian on a shot at the buzzer. Nic had 23 first half points and 32 for the game. Then on “Dillon Night”, Cody Moore scored 8 of his 11 points and Sulc added 6 points with 3 assists in the last period to rally us past Central Virginia Home School 49-44. Nic led us once again with 23 points.

The Juniors carry the only winning record of the teams with a [4-2] overall record. Nic has a 22.2 scoring average, Cody is 9.0 PPG and Alex is 7.7 PPG.

The Junior Crusaders beat Ladysmith Academy 66-34, Nic Sulc scored 16 and Cody Moore 15 points; Lost to Banner Christian 60-44, Moore had 13 and Sulc 12; but then beat Grove. Ave. 55-43, with Sulc getting 27 points. Nic Sulc also leads the JV team at 18.3 PPG, followed by Cody Moore with an 11.7 average, Alex Bridger is averaging 8.0 points per game, Timmy Warthan and Jacob Roberts are averaging 5.0 PPG.

[won- 14, lost- 4], [13-0 VCAA conference] Highlights- Manuel hits 30 foot shot at buzzer to beat Heritage 63-60, Travis has triple double against Grove with 16 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists, Travis also sets rebounds record with 28 against Grove second time around!

Travis Hathaway [18.0] points per game, Bobby Devers [10.1], Manuel Wallace [9.4], Nic Sulc [4.6], Cody Moore [4.1], Josh Wiley [2.7], Reggie Brown [2.4], Tim Warthan [2.4], Bryan Sides [1.9], Alex Bridger [1.3], and Chase Taylor [1.1]. Travis has [10.5] rebounds per game, Timmy has [4.1] assists per game, Manuel has [3.3] steals per game, Manuel has 16 three point shots, Cody has 5, Timmy 3, Bobby 2, Travis 2, Chase 2, Nic 2, Josh 1, and Alex one.

The Junior Crusaders battered Spirit’s JVs 49-22. Bobby Devers led a balanced scoring attack with 12 points, Manuel Wallace and Travis Hathaway had 11 each, and Matt Garter 9 points, to lead the way.
